Picked this up yesterday, 1996 Camry XLE, 165xxx, 1 owner garage kept since he bought it, only drove it in the warmer weather since 2000 bc he added a body kit which didn’t work well with the salt during the winter. Resonator delete and a catback. Entire inside of the trunk is one big ass sound system.

I paid $2,500 for the car, $2,800 for him to keep all the sound stuff in. What y’all think?

I think the sound system is most likely old and probably much heavier than anything sold in the last 10 years. If you were to gut the trunk, replace with a 12 and an amp, it would hit much better, be much lighter, and the car would drive much better. Based on my own experience buying a similar car.

If that sound system is modern I’m wrong but for $300 I am guessing it isn’t. My GS shed 250lbs over the rear axle when I gutted the last owners competition sound system from 2009. The car stopped, accelerated, turned, and rode much better afterward.

This car needs a snail asap.

  2. Sir, that is a car. Do you know where you are? Sir? *Sir??*

This is some peak CarDomain-era stuff.

Not my style at all, but it’s amusing time capsule. Are those graphics painted on?

Wow, with that car you would be the absolute king in town back in the early 2000.
Keep it as it is, maybe repair and touch up the paint but that style needs to be preserved.
